Q: Can I sell the items I make from your designs?

Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to sell the finished physical items you make from Maisie Moo designs on a small business scale, at markets, in your online shop or in person. Many of my customers use my designs to create their next best-seller. What you can't do is sell, share or give away the digital files themselves, create physical dies or templates, or use my photos or branding in your own listings.

Q: What is the Easy Stitch range? Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes! The Easy Stitch range is designed especially for beginners and busy makers. These projects use simple shapes, pre-cut stitch holes and step-by-step instructions, often with video tutorials, so you can get neat results even if you're new to sewing faux leather.

Q: Can I resize the patterns?

Yes, you can usually resize SVG designs within your cutting software to make items larger or smaller. Just keep an eye on tiny details like holes, tabs and stitch lines – if you scale down a lot, you may need to simplify or test first. For Easy Stitch projects, I suggest making a test piece at the original size before adjusting.

Q: Do you provide tutorials or support if I get stuck?

Many designs include photo or video tutorials, and I'm always adding more. You'll find links in the product description or PDF. You're also very welcome to join the Maisie Moo Facebook group to share your makes and ask questions – it's a friendly community of makers ready to help.

Q: Can I use your designs in classes or workshops?

You're welcome to use my designs when teaching a small, in-person class, as long as each student purchases their own copy of the pattern or you obtain permission for a class licence. Please contact me if you'd like to run regular workshops using Maisie Moo designs.

Q1. What is Maisie Moo Design?

Maisie Moo Design creates SVG templates, PDF patterns and Easy Stitch™ faux leather projects for Cricut, Silhouette, ScanNCut and other cutting or laser machines. My designs are made to help makers create beautiful handmade bows, bags, keychains, covers and more, with clear instructions and friendly support.

Q2. Can I sell the items I make from your designs?

Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to sell finished physical items made from Maisie Moo designs as part of your small business, whether you sell at markets, online or in person. Many of my customers use Maisie Moo designs to create products for their own handmade businesses.

You may not:

• sell, share or give away the digital design files
• create or sell cutting dies, acrylic or plastic templates based on the designs
• use Maisie Moo photographs, illustrations or branding in your own listings
• use the designs for mass production without prior permission

Q3. Do I need a Cricut or Silhouette machine to use your files?

Most designs are created with cutting machines such as Cricut and Silhouette in mind and include SVG files.

Many makers also use ScanNCut machines or laser machines such as Glowforge. Some designs also include printable PDF templates so they can be cut by hand.

Q4. What is the Easy Stitch™ range? Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes! Easy Stitch™ projects are designed to make sewing faux leather simple, even for beginners.

The designs include stitch holes that are cut on your Cricut or other cutting machine, giving you evenly spaced holes to follow when hand stitching. Many projects also include step-by-step instructions or video tutorials to help you achieve a neat finished result.

Q5. What file types are included with your designs?

Most Maisie Moo designs include SVG files for cutting machines and PNG files. Many also include printable PDF templates, and some designs include additional formats.

Q6. What materials do I need for faux leather projects?

For most projects you’ll need faux leather or vegan leather, a cutting machine or sharp scissors, thread where required, clips or pegs, and any hardware specified in the pattern, such as key rings, snaps, elastic or magnets.

For many projects, craft faux leather around 0.8–1.2 mm thick works well. Makers also successfully use real leather with many Maisie Moo designs.

Always check the individual pattern for any specific material recommendations.

Q7. Can I resize the patterns?

Yes. You can usually resize SVG designs within your cutting software to make the finished item larger or smaller for your own use or small-business products.

Keep in mind that stitch holes, tabs, slots and other small details will also change size when scaled. For Easy Stitch™ projects, I recommend making your first version at the original size before experimenting with resizing.

Resizing a design for your own finished products is fine. The digital design itself may not be altered or adapted for resale or redistribution.

Q8. Do you provide tutorials or support if I get stuck?

Yes. Many Maisie Moo designs include photo instructions, written tutorials or video tutorials, and I’m always adding more.

Tutorial links can usually be found in the product description or included PDF.

You’re also very welcome to join the Maisie Moo Facebook community to share your makes, ask questions and get inspiration from other makers.

Q9. Can I use your designs in classes or workshops?

Yes, for small in-person classes, provided each participant has their own purchased copy of the pattern or you have arranged permission to use the design under a class licence.

If you would like to use Maisie Moo designs for regular classes, workshops or larger groups, please contact me first and I can help you with the appropriate licence.

You are welcome to sell the finished physical products you make using Maisie Moo designs on a small-business scale.

PLEASE DON'T

Please support the many hours that go into creating Maisie Moo designs by not sharing, forwarding, copying or giving the digital files to others.

Maisie Moo digital designs may not be:

• resold, shared or redistributed in digital form
• converted into another digital format for resale or distribution
• used to create cutting dies, acrylic templates, plastic templates or similar products for sale
• uploaded to shared drives, groups or file-sharing websites
• mass-produced commercially without prior permission
• represented as your own original design

You may resize Maisie Moo designs to create your own finished products. However, the original digital artwork may not be altered, redesigned or adapted for resale or redistribution.

COMMERCIAL LICENCE

For most handmade small businesses, you do not need to purchase an additional commercial licence.

Your purchase includes permission to make and sell finished physical items on a small-business scale.

If you intend to use a Maisie Moo design for large-scale commercial manufacturing or mass production, please contact me to discuss commercial licensing.
